OUR COMMITMENTS
Sustainability, in what we actually do
We would rather show practices than promises. SudBio buys its botanicals at origin from Moroccan cooperatives and growers, makes its products in Casablanca with people from the region, offers refill and lower-waste formats, and runs its production under a standard that controls waste and traces every lot.
Where it starts: the cooperatives
Argan oil exists because of the women’s cooperatives of the Souss, which crack, sort and press the kernels by hand, and because of the argan forest they live from, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Buying kernels from those cooperatives, at origin, at a price agreed for the season, is the most concrete thing a Moroccan cosmetics house can do for the people and the land behind its hero ingredient. SudBio has done it since 2007.
The same logic applies to prickly pear growers of the south, to ghassoul quarries of the Middle Atlas and to the rose and orange-blossom distillers we work with: a known supplier, a written specification, a fair and regular order — rather than the cheapest lot on the day.
What we can say, and what we cannot yet
Origin
Every raw material lot is recorded with its supplier, so we can tell you where the argan in a given bottle was pressed from. Organic-certified lots are kept as such, with their certificates.
Local making
Development, pressing, making and filling happen in Casablanca. The value of a Moroccan ingredient stays in Morocco, from the cooperative to the finished unit.
Packaging
We offer refills, wall dispensers, solid formats and recyclable components, and we help hotels and brands choose them. We do not claim a plastic-free range: some products still need a pump and a barrier.
Waste and water
Handled under the procedures ISO 22716 requires — segregated, recorded, disposed of through licensed channels. Figures will be published when they can be audited; until then we do not print them.
Certifications
The marks we show are the ones a third party has verified; there are none we cannot document.

Is your argan oil fair trade?
We buy kernels directly from women’s cooperatives of the Souss at a price agreed for the season. We do not carry a fair-trade label today and do not use the term on our packaging.
Are your products organic?
Specific lots and products are certified organic (USDA Organic and the EU standard, certified by CCPB). The certificate applies to the lot or product it names.
Do you use plastic?
Yes, where a formula needs it. We offer refills, dispensers, solid formats and recyclable components as alternatives, and we do not claim a plastic-free range.
Do you test on animals?
No. Our products are tested on volunteers and in the laboratory, as the EU regulation requires.
Can I visit the cooperatives you buy from?
Partners are received in Casablanca by appointment, and visits to a cooperative can be arranged in the season.
